Itinerary:
Friday:
Our San Diego bachelorette weekend kicked off with major main character energy—and a whole lot of sparkle. ✨
We landed in the heart of the Gaslamp District for lunch at Searsucker, a now-closed but once-iconic spot with coastal, nautical decor and laid-back vibes. It was the perfect kickoff to our girls’ getaway—think stylish, ocean-inspired interiors and plenty of toasts to the bride-to-be.
Next up: we turned up the heat with a Burlesque dance class at Glitter Tribe! 💃 This was seriously one of the highlights of the whole weekend. The session started with a fun "across the floor" warm-up before we jumped into a choreographed routine—set to a song from the bride's all-time favorite movie, Burlesque. Channeling our inner Christina Aguilera? Yes, please. The instructor hyped us up the entire time, and we left feeling sexy, empowered, and a little sore (worth it).
After dancing our hearts out, we made our way to our dreamy VRBO tucked into Sunset Cliffs. With stunning coastal views and a chill, breezy vibe, it was the ideal home base for the weekend. We unpacked, popped a few bottles, and got glammed up for our first big night out.
Dressed to impress (all the girls in black, our bride glowing in white 🤍), we headed back to the Gaslamp for dinner at Rustic Root. We scored a table on their lively rooftop—an absolute party on its own! The cocktails were vibrant and photo-worthy, the food was insanely good (highly recommend the short rib), and the entire place felt festive and fabulous. 10/10 for vibes.
We ended the night at Omnia Nightclub (RIP to a Legend), where Illenium was the featured DJ. We had a second-floor table reserved, giving us the perfect view of the lights, music, and energy below. While Omnia has since closed, it was the place to be that night—an epic send-off to our first day in San Diego.
Saturday:
After a wild night out in the Gaslamp, Saturday was all about recharging and living our best yacht-life dreams. 😍
We kicked off the day in cozy fashion with Dark Horse Coffee Roasters—a local San Diego favorite known for its rich brews and cute, minimalist vibes. Paired with a box of fresh donuts, it was the perfect way to ease into the day (and let’s be real, much-needed after our Friday night dance floor takeover).
Next up: boat day, baby! We booked a private yacht through Mai Tai Yacht Charters, and let us tell you—it was everything. The crew was amazing, the vibes were immaculate, and the ocean breeze gave us main character on vacation energy all day long. ☀️🌊
We brought our own lunch on board from Hugo’s Cocina, a hidden gem Mexican spot with the best tacos and chips + guac. Eating on the deck, sipping drinks, sunbathing, and blasting our custom boat day playlist—total core memory. Pro tip: Coordinate cute swimsuits and bring matching cover-ups for the best group pics!
After soaking up the sun, we headed back to our gorgeous VRBO for a cozy girls’ night in. Sometimes, the best memories come from just being together in sweats, laughing on the couch, and letting the bride feel all the love.
We kept it simple with dinner at the house—a mix of takeout, wine, and plenty of second helpings. Then came the real entertainment: Bachelorette Jeopardy! 🥂💍
Sunday:
Our final morning was all about soaking up those last few moments together as a bride tribe. We kept it simple with breakfast at the VRBO, sipping coffee in our pajamas, chatting about the weekend’s highlights, and laughing at our yacht day sunburns and unforgettable dance moves.
Then came the bittersweet part—kissing the Miss goodbye. 💋 With hugs, happy tears, and promises to reunite at the wedding, we sent our bride off feeling so loved and so celebrated.
